How to Decide between the 4200 Series and the Easy-Touch® Pro

Several Cirris customers have asked what the difference is between the long-time favorite Easy-Touch® Pro and the newly released 4200 Series testers. This guide will show you the similarities, differences, and help you decide which tester is right for your test strategy.

 Built-in Windows PC runs Easy-Wire Software, a customer-favorite software for customizing test programs, archiving test programs, and creating test reports. Easy-Wire allows advanced control over testing including graphics, operator instructions, and security logins.

Test Program Compatibility

 Transfer test programs between 4200 and 1100R+ testers. Transfer test programs between4250, 4200, 1100R+, and 1100H+ testers. Test programs can be imported/exported as .wir files and used on 4250 and 4200 testers. However, some advanced features are not compatible with the 4200 Series. Some of these incompatibilities include:

  • Comment Instruction
  • Diode Instruction (Signature Diode is compatible)
  • Probe Instruction
  • Build Test methods

Printing
  • Local label printing via serial port.
  • Local report printing to select report printers using an adapter.
