Easy-Wire Improvements

LV insulation limited by diode  ENG-4434  (8100, CR, CH2 only)
When the tester performs its high speed continuity test, wire resistances are evaluated separately from the resistances of tested component. Easy-Wire therefore has not allowed the user to set wire resistance setting higher than the calculated lowest resistance of tested components. Since the tester evaluates the diode forward bias as a resistance, the use of a diode instruction can limit some higher connection resistance settings. The station system software setting, Diodes ignore wire resistance, can now be enabled so a diode instruction does not limit higher insulation resistance setting. However, enabling this setting can inhibit the tester from finding diode shorts that exist between connected wire nets.

Support for power improvements  ENG-4456  (8100 only)
This version supports all earlier builds of the 8100 tester, and additionally supports new 8100 tester design changes that allow better power distribution in large and distributed multi-unit 8100 test systems.

HV insulation resistances reported up to 1.5 GOhm   ENG-4392   (CH2 only)
The CH2 provides specified tolerance for high voltage insulation resistance measurements up to 1 GOhm, but previously has reported less accurate insulation resistances up to 4 Gig Ohms. The CH2 will now report insulation resistances up to 1.5 GOhm. Adding AllowCH2IROffscaleGreaterThanSpec in the c:\public\public documents\Cirris\Common\easywire.ini file will alternatively allow insulation resistances to be reported up to 3 GOhms.

New 2470 Meter Instructions  ENG-4443  (CH2 Advanced Instructions)
Two new Advanced Instructions were added for 2470 external meters:

Discharge, Hipot and Measure Resistance
is identical to the Hipot and Measure Resistance test instruction; however it provides a discharge time setting to ensure capacitance is fully discharged before measuring background and foreground current, which in turn are used to make the insulation resistance measurement.

Discharge Capacitance sinks every point to ground for a specified duration, allowing the DUT to discharge.

New 2460 Meter Instructions  ENG-4258  (CH2 Advanced Instructions)
All of the Advanced instructions that are now available on the 2470 meter have been added to the 2460 meter. The compliance limited voltage instructions were added in addition to the new 2470 Advance Instructions listed in the improvement above in ENG-4443.

Two-Point HV Isolation Instruction returns IR value  ENG-4356  (CH2 Advanced Instructions)
Previously, the Two-Point HV Isolation Test instruction would report a leakage error for a reported insulation resistance below the Two-Point Insulation setting. The test instruction now reports the leakage error with the leakage value.
