Cirris is excited to announce that the company’s quality management system is now certified to AS9100D, the aerospace industry’s highest standard for manufacturing.
Already an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, Cirris implemented the requirements of AS9100D to elevate practices that will help ensure the continued high quality and reliability of Cirris products. Our improvement initiatives prompted us to take this important step toward further meeting the needs of our customers.
The AS9100D standard strives to hold companies accountable for the safety and quality of their products. This is especially crucial in the aerospace industry where safety is a top priority. Therefore, the standard doubled the number of requirements in ISO 9001:2015 to include important regulations that ensure safety such as ESD prevention and FOD control. Also included are cleanliness inspections and part accountability to ensure every piece of an aircraft will keep those aboard safe.
Now that Cirris is AS9100 certified, we can further our work with aerospace companies and other companies who need higher standards. Many businesses in the industry implement quality management systems with additional requirements above ISO 9001:2015. Cirris will be happy to work with these businesses to ensure safety and quality.
